His first years were spent in Skaneateles, NY, and he finished his childhood in Morrisville, NY after his family moved there between 19. A true man of community Tuck lived the motto of Rotary: “Service Above Self.” To Tuck, there were no distant cousins or friends they were all “kissing cousins” and steadfast friends, and everyone was always welcome at his hearth and in his heart. Tuck was an involved and dedicated member of the Winchester community, devoted to his family, his church and to making the world around him better, more interesting and a whole lot more fun. Through his paternal grandmother Tuck was a direct descendent of John Augustine Washington, brother of George Washington, and has familial ties to the Tuckers and the Lees of Virginia, including Richard Henry Lee, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was pre-deceased by four cousins and a step-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, his two sons, B. Tuck has been a long time parishioner at Christ Episcopal Church where he served many years as a member of its vestry. He was also a member and past president of the Winchester Rotary Club which awarded him the Distinguished Service Award in 2005 and received multiple Paul Harris Fellow awards. He was a founding board member of Westminster-Canterbury of Winchester and served as its treasurer. In their too-brief time together, Kappy and Tuck have brought the two families close and they all have been a remarkable source of strength and comfort through Tuck’s recent illness.Īctive in civic affairs, Tuck served as Special Events Chairman and director of the Winchester and Frederick County Unit of the American Cancer Society He was Commissioner of the Winchester Youth Soccer League An ardent golfer and avid tennis player Tuck was Director, Treasurer and former President of the Winchester Golf Club director and first vice president of the Winchester-Frederick County United Fund and a former member of the Winchester City Council. Tuck and “Kappy” were wed in August of 2011. After Sharron’s death in 2009, Tuck met Kathleen Clarke. In 1956, Tuck married Sharron Lee Trueblood of Alexandria VA and together they raised their three children.

In 1977 Tuck moved his family to Winchester, Va., where he was executive vice president of The Shenandoah Valley National Bank. He was the officer in charge of business development and public relations at Mount Vernon National Bank & Trust Company in Fairfax, VA., Assistant Vice President of United States Trust Company of New York, and President of Palmer Bank in Sarasota, FL. Tuck began his successful career in banking and finance working for several banks on the east coast. He spent four years of active duty as a naval officer and remained in the Naval Reserve for 16 years. Navy Officer Candidate School in Rhode Island.
